Who We Are
The EmpowHER Project is a youth-led nonprofit working to create a world where no girl is limited by her period.

The EmpowHER Project is a youth-led nonprofit working to create a world where no girl is limited by her period. We educate girls with accurate, empowering menstrual health information. We provide free sustainable reusable pads and disposable pads to those who need them most and engage communities, teachers, parents, and boys in open, inclusive conversations.
By breaking harmful taboos and promoting dignity through dialogue, we’re tackling stigma at its roots. Our outreaches keeps girls in school, equips them with confidence, and fosters a culture that treats menstruation with respect. Beyond direct impact, we also advocate for menstrual education to be integrated into school curriculums nationwide because every girl deserves to understand her body, speak up without shame, and thrive without barriers.

Mission
At our core, we are dedicated to empowering girls in Nigeria ensuring they have access to clean sanitary products and quality education. Our mission is to combat period poverty through health initiatives and educational programs that inspire resilience and strength.

Vision
Our vision is to create a sustainable future where everyone has access to menstrual products and eco-friendly alternatives. We are committed to distributing free reusable and other eco friendly menstrual pads, empowering girls to make choices that benefit both their health and the planet. We aim to inspire a community that values sustainability and responsible consumption. As well as a community that understands and upholds menstrual health as a human right.

Goal
To end period poverty in underserved communities by expanding menstrual education, distributing menstrual products, and driving policy change that makes menstrual health a national priority.
